Second leg in Carovigno (BR) from the 13rd to the 17th July in the Dentice di Frasso Castle´s yard. The sections are Animation, Apulia Shorts Survey, Bullying and Noir/Thriller/Horror.
For the second year Carovigno host the festival, the previous edition success confirm the festival as one of the most important event in this area.
Among the protagonist of this edition the actor Jonis Bascir take the Streamit.it - Salento Finibus Terrae award.
Winner of the section animation “Our Wonderful Nature” by Tomer Eshed-Germany, fantasy images about the habits of the water shrew as never seen before.
Keep on the success of the section Apulia Shorts Survey, the festival director believes that have a section for the talented young director is very important, in the last 10 years, indeed, in this region are grown directors, actors, scriptwriters.
The prize as Best film of this section is for “Vietato fermarsi” by Pierluigi Ferrandini, a funny and surreal story about a young man that every day have to defend his rights, as his grandfather 60 years before, in 1948.
In the section Bullying as Best direction wins “Il Torneo” by Michele Alahique-Italy, a soccer tournament in Rome´s suburb where a group of children confront each other. Best Film “Cry Baby”
by Christina Rosendhal-Denmark, a delicate story that underlines the bullying in the school classes.
Jury special mention at “Bulli si nasce” by Massimo Cappelli-Italy, ironic and surreal with such protagonist as Fabio Troiano and Martina Lombardi.
In the section Noir/Thriller/Horror “The Archivist” by James Lees-Great Bretain is the Best film, a story about the two obsession of a man, the vacuum packing and his girlfriend. Winner of the Best direction “Tras los visillos” by Gregorio Muro e Raul Lopez-Spain, a wonderful film.
The forth leg will be the 18th,19th,20th in Mesagne, there will be other section projected and many guests. |
